The College of Southern Idaho Foundation is a non-profit organization based here in Twin Falls, Idaho. Their mission is to provide increased awareness and financial support to the College of Southern Idaho. They do this in order to help the College educate students, offer lifelong learning opportunities, and strengthen community partnerships.

The Foundation fulfills its mission through a variety of different avenues! The College of Southern Idaho Foundation offers several scholarships to CSI students, maintains legacy funds and endowments, and helps promote fundraising campaigns for community and college development projects. Rinard Media is lucky to have several alumni of the College of Southern Idaho on the team, and so we were thrilled at the opportunity to jump in and help the Foundation expand its reach and presence!

Building a Lasting Brand is a Group Project

The Logo

The College of Southern Idaho Foundation was ready to update its look with a fresh new logo. The Foundation is closely connected to the College, but it is technically a separate entity. This   means that the logo needed to stand apart from the College while still reflecting the interconnectedness between the two. We created a fresh new logo that pays homage to CSI’s on-campus architecture, honoring the Foundation’s deep ties with the school.

The Re-Branding


A brand is so much more than just a logo! Branding projects are similar to school group projects… minus the part where you end up having to do all of the work yourself. Rinard Media considers branding to be a team effort — we always work closely with the teams who actually live the brand every day to understand their goals, their mission, and their daily work. We worked together with the CSI Foundation to dig into their core values, mission, and goals for the future. With all of those aspects taken into account, we created a brand standards guide that contains everything their team will need to create print materials or digital graphics in the future, as well as information about the why behind their mission that they can share within their teams.

Multiple Choices for Graphic Design


The CSI Foundation contributes to a lot of different projects within the community! That means that there are a LOT of different programs and donation opportunities for donors to pick from. In addition to creating some of the more “run of the mill” print material like letterheads and business cards, we also created custom print projects to help the Foundation clearly communicate their goals! 

Rinard Media helped the Foundation break down some of their largest community funded efforts and charitable programs into quick and easy “pitch kits” that they can present to potential donors to teach them more about all the different ways to give. Through the pitch kits, the Foundation is now able to show all of their different programs, scholarships, and community funds in a simple and frictionless way. This in turn makes it easy for donors to show their support for the College and the community by giving to the programs or funds of their choosing.

A Website Never Sleeps… Kind of Like a College Student


The coolest part about having a functional and effective website is that it works 24/7. The CSI Foundation needed a place where they could share information about their mission, their available community programs, AND where they could process donations. The website works around the clock to do all of those things, and more! An integrated online donation processor can easily collect donations from anyone, anywhere. The website itself hosts a ton of information about the different scholarships, the areas of greatest need, community projects, the alumni association, and more.


Finding Opportunities for Extra Credit

Video Fundraising Campaign

Generous members of the community are the lifeblood of the CSI Foundation. One of the biggest hurdles to finding donors is that people want to know where their money is going, and they want to know it as quickly as possible. We helped create a quick and easy video for the CSI Foundation explaining who they are, what they do, and how they do it. This standalone video is evergreen, meaning that the Foundation can use it across any online platforms, they can play it for donors, use it as a video advertising tool, and more! The hope is that donors can understand the Foundation and its mission in 60 seconds or less and be motivated to make a donation — or at least begin researching the Foundation and the available donor programs.
